Some early Fujian cabbage transplanted

Some early Zhangzhou Zhangpu cabbages have been transplanted. They will be harvested in 60 days. According to variety, cabbage could be harvested in 60-70 days, 120-130 days after transplanting, before this, transplanting from seedling needs about 25-35 days. Early Fujian Naganegi has been seeded for 20 days

Early Zhangzhou Zhangpu Naganegi has been seeded for 20 days. It will be transplanted in about 40 days after seeding, then begin harvest in about 120 days after transplanting.

Naganegi or Naga-Negi: Longer and thicker variety of negi onion (welsh onion, Japanese leeks). Has a larger amount of white stem.

Fresh Chinese Carrots


Carrot has different spellings and pronunciations in different areas. It is called red radish, (Simplified Chinese胡萝卜huluobo,红萝卜hongluobo,萝卜luobo, lo bok) in Chinese;红菜头hongcaitou in Hokkienese (Taiwanese ); 人参(にんじん or ニンジン)in Japanese; 당근in Korean; морковь in Russian.

Carrot is a root vegetable, usually orange, red in colour, 80-450 grams in weight for market. Carrots are used in fresh vegetable juice as well as in various salads dishes and soups in the Orient. Many fine quality varieties have been developed in Japan and Taiwan for home garden and commercial growing. In China, for commercial purpose, many carrot seeds are from Japanese seed providers. Japan is Chinese biggest vegetable importer.
